US Army 116th Cavalry Brigade Combat Team Class A Patch SSI AGSU
A genuine issue shoulder sleeve insignia for the 116th Cavalry Brigade Combat Team, drawn from US Army surplus rather than made as a reproduction. The full-color Class A version carries the unit's heraldry in dense embroidery, ready for a service uniform or a display case.
- Surplus Origins — These patches come out of US Army surplus and were built to the military's own specifications, so what arrives is the real issue article.
- Guard Armored Unit — The insignia stands for the armored brigade of the Idaho Army National Guard, headquartered at Gowen Field in Boise with subordinate elements in Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Nevada.
- Full-Color Class A — Colored threadwork in the Class A style makes this the variant worn on the Army Green Service Uniform and the Class A Service Uniform.
- Stitched Definition — Dense stitching worked into a twill backing is what gives the emblem its sharp color and clearly defined lines.
- 2.5-Inch Regulation Size — The patch measures 2.5 inches, the SSI diameter the Army calls for, so it sits correctly at the shoulder sleeve position of a service uniform.
- Cavalry Heritage — Crossed sabers on a yellow shield speak to the unit's mounted lineage, going back to when it was designated the 116th Armored Cavalry Regiment.
- Merrowed Border — The edge is merrowed, a finish that holds fraying back and helps the insignia stay presentable once it has been sewn, mounted, or put on display.
- Collector Friendly — Buyers wear it on a uniform, frame it in a shadow box, keep it with a militaria collection, or sew it onto a pack or other gear.
