The Birds,
Nests & Eggs Cigarette Cards are loose with no album and are an incomplete
set of eight cards which have the reference numbers: 2, 9, 22, 35, 63, 64, 92,
and 95.
The cards
were issued by Gallaher Ltd in 1919 with the cards originally distributed with
cigarette packets.
There is
toning and discolouration apparent to the cards and various stains, foxing and
dirt marks on them with some more prominently affected than others, as well as
some creases and imprinted marks which are most apparent on the cards numbered
9 and 35.
Additionally,
there is scuffing and wear noticeable to the edges as well as softening,
rounding and slight curling to the tips of the corners.
The bottom
left corner of the number 9 card has been torn of and is missing as well as the
top of the card being part way torn across the top left corner from the top
edge.
There is
some curvature noticeable to the cards particularly when stacked together.

The approximate size of each card is 64 mm x 33 mm. The approximate combined weight of the cards is 8g.
