This is a silver gelatin photograph that is unmounted and is 9 x 7 inches (230x180mm).

It shows three men on the wooden deck of an ocean liner. One man, wearing a light-coloured jacket, is bent over playing a game of deck golf with a club. Two other men watch him; one is an older gentleman in a suit jacket and white gloves, holding a walking stick or club, and the other man is leaning against a stanchion.

Part of the ship's superstructure is visible in the background. The reverse has a purple ink stamp for "CHARLES L. BROWN, PHOTOGRAPHER" with what appears to be a telephone number, "CENTRAL 3431".
