doughboy. Bluegreen silk has hand 

embroidered American and French flags,

"Souvenir of France", red poppy flowers,

and a Rooster. Wartime propaganda 

frequently depicted the proud French rooster

a symbol of  combativeness, pride, 

courage, generosity and fertility.

These handmade ribbon flowers and

embroidery work is framed with beautiful

lace edges. This piece is in a Victorian

style and simply laid on top of a square 22'X22"

European style pillow. The cotton backing of this 

piece has holes from being folded so please

look carefully at the photos. The silk front however

is in excellent condition. The silk measures 22"

square total measurement with the lace is
