German WW2 MG Ammo Box Yellow over Original Field Grey Green Paint.  This box has double latches, but only one is free, so the open lid stays with the box, and cannot be completely removed.  Carry and mounting handles move freely and are not bent or damaged.

The box externals show wear and age; chipped scratched paint, staining, corrosion and rust present on the metal, with various dings and dents (please see photos).  More wear on the bottom of the box, as would be expected.

One of the latches is bent slightly to one side, but still operates correctly.  The other latch is in its original as-manufactured attitude, and also works correctly (please see photos).

The box internals still painted original field grey green with minimal rusting (please see photos).

Lid seals are missing significant chunks of rubber at both of the ends (please see photos).

There is a slight bowing of the sides outward at the top opening when the box is open, requiring very slight re-alignment effort to reclose lid over the box.  Nothing really to be concerned about, just full transparency on my part as the lid will not just fall completely shut on its own accord.
