Every globe is individually handmade, hand-turned and hand-engraved, so slight variations in colour tone, shine, engraving depth, lettering, map detailing and dimensions may occur — no two pieces are exactly identical. Differences in lighting and screen settings may also affect how the brass tone appears in photos. Small tool marks and uneven polish areas are normal in handcrafted brass; these are not defects but the natural signature of authentic artisan work.

⚫ ABOUT FAINT BLACK SPOTS

You may notice faint black spots or marks on the brass surface, particularly inside the engraved map lines. These come from a fine powder used during the carving and engraving process, which sometimes leaves a slight residue behind. It is completely harmless and can be easily cleaned off using a damp cotton cloth, then buffed dry with a soft cloth.

🧼 CARE INSTRUCTIONS

• Dust and wipe with a soft dry cloth regularly to maintain the golden shine.

• Use a soft dry brush to gently clean inside the engraved map lines.

• For deeper cleaning, use lemon + salt, tamarind paste or any standard brass polish, then wipe and dry immediately.

• Do not soak or immerse in water; moisture can affect the rotating axis and cause water spots.

• Avoid harsh chemicals, bleach and abrasive scrubbers.

• Spin the globe gently — do not force it past the meridian arc.

• Natural tarnishing over time is normal for brass and builds a beautiful antique patina; polish whenever you want the bright shine back.

• Keep away from prolonged direct moisture and humidity.
