OVERVIEW
This is a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W170 compact digital camera in black, a 2000s CCD compact with a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens and an optical viewfinder.
For anyone after the digicam look of older compact cameras, this is that kind of camera: a small CCD sensor, softer rendering than a modern phone, and a built-in flash for the direct-flash look. The last three photographs are sample images taken with this camera, straight from the camera and not edited.
This is the Japanese domestic model. The menu language is Japanese and cannot be changed to another language. The camera itself displays a message stating that it supports Japanese only.
The camera records to Memory Stick Duo, Memory Stick PRO Duo and Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo cards. SD cards do not fit.
WHAT IS INCLUDED
This listing contains only the following.
CONDITION
Used, in working order. The camera powers on, the lens zooms, and it records images. Tested by the seller.
Flaws, all shown in the photographs:
CONTENTS
Lens: 5.0 to 25.0 mm, equivalent to 28 to 140 mm in 35 mm terms, F3.3 at the wide end and F5.2 at the telephoto end.
Sensitivity: ISO 80 to 3200, plus auto.
Movie mode: 640 by 480 at about 30 fps.

Body size and weight published by Sony: 93.7 by 58.0 by 24.0 mm, and about 142 g for the body alone.
The data and video port is Sony's proprietary Multi Terminal, not a standard USB socket. It carries USB and composite AV output, and it needs the matching Sony cable.
The charger accepts 100 to 240 V at 50 or 60 Hz. Its plug is the Japanese two flat pin type, so a plug adapter is needed in some countries.
