The song is one of Elton John’s most personal recordings of the period and became a major international hit.

The B-side, “House Of Cards,” is another Elton John and Bernie Taupin composition. Both tracks were produced by Gus Dudgeon, a key collaborator responsible for the distinctive sound of many of Elton John’s landmark 1970s recordings.
