Product Overview

The Casio EG-5 — known in Japan as the "Eleking" — is one of the strangest things Casio ever built: a solid-body electric guitar with a cassette deck and a speaker built into the body. Put a rhythm or backing tape in the deck, hit play, and you can jam along without an amp, anywhere. It was discontinued long ago and has become hard to find, and interest picked up again after Daiki Tsuneta of King Gnu was seen playing one.

📦 Please read the "not confirmed" lines above before buying. The previous owner did not mention the distortion or the LINE IN jack, so we are listing them as unverified rather than guessing. Everything else in the list was confirmed by the previous owner. This is a 1980s instrument sold as it is. If anything here is unclear, please message us before you buy — we are happy to answer.
