The Rockman Remote Loop Box (created by Tom Scholz's Schaffer Research & Development / SR&D) is a small utility accessory designed to work hand-in-hand with the Rockman MIDI Octopus effect switcher.

Audio Bypassing: It lets you switch non-MIDI floor effects and traditional stompboxes in and out of your signal path via the MIDI Octopus.

Signal Routing: It functions as an A/B box to control audio flow, letting you select between two distinct input signals or route an audio signal to one of two different outputs.

Amp Switching: It can send proper switching signals to specific guitar amplifiers that do not respond correctly to standard MIDI Octopus switching jacks.

Design and SpecsThe Enclosure: It is built inside a small, rugged metal Hammond-style box.

Connection: It connects using a captive control cable or standard jacks that link directly into the relay-driven switching channels (channels B through G) of a MIDI Octopus.

Rarity: While standard Remote Loops are uncommon, SR&D also manufactured an ultra-rare Dual Remote Loop variant containing two circuits in a single housing.
