ITEM DESCRIPTION

This is a 100% genuine, tested and working floppy drive for vintage Macs and Power Macs. Note this is the "newer" manual inject mechanism. This is used in ALL PowerMacs and some of the later 68K machines such as the Quadra 630 and LC 475.

How do you know which drive is correct for your machine? SIMPLE! This is the correct replacement drive if your Mac has a curved finger-space at the floppy slot. You'll need the "auto inject" type of drive if your machine has a straight-edged floppy disk slot. Those older drives are easy to identify as they essentially "pull" the disk into the mechanism.

INCLUDED

This auction includes the drive mechanism only, no bracket, screws, cables or case. Please contact us first if you need any special brackets.

TESTING

This drive was tested to read, format, and eject a Macintosh format floppy disk.

SHIPPING

This item will be shipped USPS Priority Mail, which will arrive in 2-3 days for most US locations. International shipping is via USPS Global Priority Mail.

WARRANTY

This drive is guaranteed to read, format, and write onto new media. Due to the degradation that occurs on floppy disks, we cannot guarantee it will read everything in your old diskette collection. That said, we will warrant proper operation for ONE MONTH starting on the day of delivery. We will exchange if inventory exists, or issue a refund if you have any problems.
