Offered for your consideration is a vintage miniature flip-top leather box, hand-crafted in Italy c.1980. The maker of this box is not known to me since I can’t decipher the circular logo on its underside.

Accordingly, I have no idea what the box originally held, if anything at all? What I can tell you is that it’s exceptionally well-made and really small, measuring a mere 2” wide x ⅝” deep x ⅝” high. For perspective, the orangewood stick used to prop the lid open in the main photo is only ⅛” in diameter!

So, please have a look at my large photos and read the remaining description to decide if this neat, undoubtedly scarce leather box miniature should join your collection.

This miniature flip-top box is in clean, very good condition. There are no dings, scratches, or peeling to the British Tan-finished leather, just some edge darkening patina from the years. But, there’s a small, diagonal slice inside the formed, untanned leather inner compartment, as pictured. Plus, the hinge flap is solid, and the top joins the bottom perfectly with no gap. Overall, this diminutive leather box presents exceptionally well.

As pictured and described, this remarkable Italian-made miniature leather box is offered at a competitive price.
