Antique Tioga Mill & Elevator Co. Framed Oat Smut Advertising Display w/ Oat Samples

Advertising "Tioga Fancy Recleaned Seed Oats Treated For Smut", with one smut-infected stalk next to a treated, healthy stalk. Consists of a wooden frame with glass and a felt lining, with a cardstock insert at the top and the two sample oat stalks underneath filling most of the frame.

Made by the Tioga Mill & Elevator Co., Waverly, New York, Circa 1910s-1920s

Measures 6 3/4" x 13 3/4"

The piece is in very good overall condition, the oat samples are intact with no broken or shifted bits, and the card insert at the top-left is free of discoloration or soiling. The wooden frame itself shows a little wear. See photographs for details.
