Made from basalt rock melted at high temperatures and processed into fine fibers, then compressed into growing cubes. The soft, fibrous structure allows young roots to penetrate easily with minimal damage, supporting strong and healthy root development.
Cut the rockwool into the desired size if needed. Briefly soak in a diluted nutrient solution or adjust the pH to approximately 5.5, which is suitable for many plants. Place seeds into the pre-formed holes, maintain proper moisture, temperature, and lighting, then transfer the cubes directly into soil or a hydroponic system once the roots are established.
The porous fiber structure absorbs and retains moisture while allowing good air circulation around the roots. This helps create a balanced growing environment, encourages dense root growth, and makes transplanting easier. Its low thermal conductivity also helps reduce the impact of temperature fluctuations around the root zone.
