In Chocolate Factory you are the proud owner of your own chocolate factory. At the beginning, your factories only consist of a roasting oven, a refining machine and a conveyor belt on which your finished chocolate can be transported directly from the factory to the warehouse.

As the game progresses, you expand your factories in each round. To do this, you recruit employees and place new production machines in your factories. You will soon be able to make the finest chocolate, caramel and nut sweets or pralines from the cocoa beans delivered. However, you always have to manage with the coal available in each round of the game, which is needed to operate your production machines. You can get additional coal if you exchange chocolate from your storage for coal.

You can then use the finished sweets to fulfill your customers' orders or deliver them to the sweets department of one of the large department stores. Both bring you money and at the department stores there is even a bonus payment at the end of the game for the player who has delivered the most to the respective department store.

Your employees, who you select in each round, help you with their special skills during the current round and are a prerequisite for being able to deliver to certain department stores in this round.

After six rounds of play, whoever produces the best chocolate, sweets and pralines and earns the most money wins.
