This is a 19th-century Finnish solid silver cream jug.

Hallmark FAB: Fredrik Adolf Boman was a prominent Finnish master silversmith (sometimes recorded as F.A. Boman). He operated a highly regarded workshop in Turku during the mid-19th century.

Crown (in a shaped shield): The Finnish National Control Mark. A crown mark guarantees that the metal content was officially assayed and passed state standards.

Fleur-de-lis / City Mark: Turku

13L: The Silver Fineness Mark. This indicates a purity of 13 Luoti (Loth). Under this historical continental system used before 1887, 13 Luoti equates to a silver purity of 812.5/1000 (or 81.25% pure silver).

T3: The Date Letter Mark. Following the standardized Finnish date coding system, "T3" precisely dates the manufacture of this piece to the year 1851.

Please note the condition, some marks and a few small dents. I have inherited this from my great great aunt and never used it myself, but it does show signs of use. It is a rare historical piece, so hoping it will go to a collector rather than melted down.
