SET OF 3 VINTAGE SUITCASES, TURQUOISE, MID 1970S, EXCELLENT AND UNDAMAGED CONDITION
This set of 3 vintage suitcases from 1974 have been unused and therefore are externally unmarked and undamaged. The inners are also clean, although there are visible signs of the glue coming through the paper lining, caused purely by age. The linings, in white and pale grey strip thick paper, and the matching cloth elasticated back pockets in all cases are otherwise perfectly clean and undamaged.
The set of suitcases with catch and lock fastenings come with original key for locking and each sit comfortably within the next size-up case and thus store compactly.
This striking set of luggage would make for a distinctive landing, hall or room storage display, if not used as travelling luggage.
The largest suitcase measures 25 ins across x 18 ins front to back and 7 ins deep.
The middle sized suitcase measures 23 ins across x 16.5 ins front to back and 7 ins deep, and
The smallest, vanity case measures 15.5 ins across and 14 ins front to back and 6.5 ins deep.
The two larger cases have solid carrying handles in turquoise, with the smallest case having a long handle in matching PVC/cardboard type composition as the cases. All cases have a black piping around the edge of the lids.
The luggage set, of strong and solid board and PVC composition with waterproof outer material, is robust and striking in colour, as well as being relatively light, weighing c. 4.5 kg in total across all pieces.
A rather special and unique set of luggage in pristine condition.
