2026 China 2-Oz Silver ANA World’s Fair Of Money Show Panda Proof
2026 World’s Fair of Money Show Pandas
This year’s American Numismatic Association’s World’s Fair of Money featured special “Show Pandas” honoring the host city of Pittsburgh.
The reverse on this two-ounce 99.9% silver piece shows the city’s famous “Three Sisters Bridges” that span the Alleghany River, and the obverse depicts a Steel City panda with hard hat and I-beam. And, for the very first time on any ANA Show Panda, a special patriotic privy mark appears next to the Panda design as a tribute to the 2026 celebration of the 250th Anniversary of American Independence.
The Show Panda Tradition Continues
The China Mint’s Panda collectible series is among the world’s most well-known global numismatic releases. Because of the Panda’s worldwide reach, many of the largest numismatic events began issuing special commemorative Panda coins and medals beginning in the 1980s. Among the most prominent numismatic shows is the American Numismatic Association's (ANA) World’s Fair of Money (WFoM), held annually since 1891 in the United States. This event brings exhibitors from mints around the world as well as thousands of enthusiastic coin and paper currency collectors. These shows are open to the public and feature many educational programs.
The “Three Sisters” and the Steel City
Since 2015, attendees of the WFoM have been able to secure a special “Show Panda,” with a unique obverse and reverse design specific to that year. In 2026, the event was held August 25–29 in Pittsburgh. Famous for its heritage of steel production and its golden “Three Sisters” bridges that span the Alleghany River, Pittsburgh has been given the nickname the “City of Bridges.” This year’s Panda designs were created to reflect this special legacy and carry on the ANA Show Panda tradition. Struck on behalf of China in the U.S. at Sunshine Minting, these Show Pandas come in gorgeous Proof condition and display special patriotic privy marks in recognition of America’s 250th anniversary. Just 888 were struck and our limited supply is destined to vanish quickly.
