Victorian sterling silver trophy cup, ca 1900. Ovoid bowl on domed foot with pierced flower and leafing-scroll support. Mouth rim applied with same. Leaf-capped double-scroll side handles.
Engraved presentation related to a Florida minor league baseball tournament. On front: "A.E. Fitkin Trophy / Pinellas County / Inter-City Championship / St. Petersburg / Clearwater / Tarpon Springs". On back: "Won By / St Petersburg, 1925". Abram Edward Fitkin (1878–1933) was a civic-minded financier whose vast holdings included the St Petersburg electric company, which he renamed the Pinellas County Power Co.
Marked "Black, Starr & Frost / Sterling / 845 / 7 pts".
