Wm. Hutton & Sons English Edwardian Sterling Silver Candlesticks, 8.5" h VGC
Stylish pair of estate Edwardian English Sterling Silver candlesticks with the quality mark of William Hutton & Sons. Farringdon, London. Each features octagonal spreading weighted bases, baluster knopped stems and detachable drip nozzles.  Height 8.5”, base width 4”, see photo of measures and weights.  No monograms, each of the 4 pieces bears only their hallmark - base hallmarks are a bit rubbed, but the drip trays show crisp: the lion passant for Sterling Silver, the leopard's head assay mark for London, the date letter “n” for 1908 and the distinctive W H & Ss Ld makers' mark for William Hutton & Sons Ltd. In my opinion it is the London Hallmark “n” for 1908, not the more Roman style of 1928 (see photo).  Condition is very good overall with normal signs of age/use – one baluster has an area of creases/damage (still displays well), please view all photographs for specifics.  Selling with NO reserve, small handling charge covers shipping insurance.
