Vintage Cast Metal Crucifix
9" Jesus INRI – Quebec Find

Here’s a solid old Catholic crucifix that came out of Quebec. It’s a heavy cast metal piece (brass/bronze alloy) with a nice detailed figure of Jesus under the INRI plaque and a sunburst behind the head.

The ends of the cross have the classic scrollwork and there are four small mounting holes so it can be fixed to a wall or used on a casket. The back is hollow with the raw casting texture still visible.

It shows its age — the finish is worn on the high points of the arms, torso and legs — but the cross itself is straight, heavy and has no cracks or repairs. Just honest old patina.
