The foot of these are Brown horse or mule leather. They have a pointed, but slightly rounded toe. They have a simple stitch pattern on the foot is done in Tan thread. The foot of each boot has an extra layer of leather over the arch for protection and decoration. The heels have an ample spur ridge. Both boots have marking in the heel area from being worn with spurs. The uppers have a nice patina from years of wear but do not have any major scuffs or splits to the leather uppers. The shafts have Dark Brown piping which runs up the shafts and around the V at the top. The shafts are a thick Teal colored leather. There is some color loss to the leather from wear. They have a classic wheat stitch pattern design down in White and Tan thread. This pair have mule ear type boot pulls done in the same leather as the foot of the boots. This pair also have a decorative collar around the tops of the shafts, also done in the Brown Mule or Horse as used on the foot of the boots. The shafts are fully leather lined and clean inside. The Olathe and Made in USA cloth tags are in the boots. They are clearly marked 12 AA.  Please review the photos. 

These have had new heel caps and half soles added in 2006 I think. The rubber heel caps are Soletech brand and are very thick. They have some smoothing to the outer edge, but are far from needing to be replaced. The rubber half soles are smooth, but are free of soft spots. These have some of the biggest heels of any boots I have ever owned. They are nicely undercut.  Please see the photos for details.
