Claudio Abbado's reading of Mahler's Symphony No. 2 "Resurrection" with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra is one of the classic accounts of the work, recorded at the height of the orchestra's partnership with Deutsche Grammophon. This is the Japanese pressing of the two-LP gatefold set, catalogue MG 8243/4 for the original 2707 094 release, from around 1977.
