THE ARTWORK:

gesso primed canvas

*      Varnishing:
After the painting process is done and dried fully, I have applied fine oil paint
varnish on the top of the painting, which mainly gives the protection to the
painting and additionally gives it a little gloss!

*      Please
note: Colors and brightness may appear slightly different due to screen and
camera settings — but rest assured, the heart, detail, and overall vibe of the
painting are just the same in person (if not even better!)

ABOUT ME:

Hi! I’m Sandali
Gunarathne, a final-year undergraduate at the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka,
studying Transport Management and Logistics Engineering in the Faculty of
Engineering.

Art has
been a part of my life since childhood — I started painting just for fun, for
friends, and for competitions. I fell in love with the process, and after my
Advanced Level exams, I even spent some time painting full-time before
university began, turning my passion into a way to earn an income.

Now, even
with my busy university life, I dedicate 2–3 hours a day to my art. Painting
helps me unwind from academic stress and gives me a sense of independence and
joy. I love working with oil paints, acrylics, watercolors, color pencils, and
oil pastels, each medium letting me express something unique.

In this
little online store, you’ll find a variety of my artworks — each one has its
own story and emotion behind it. I’ve been selling my paintings for almost five
years now, and I’m so grateful to my loving parents and wonderful customers who
have supported me along the way. I always do my best to create with love and
care — because making you happy with my art is my greatest reward. 🎨💛
