1990s ERNIE BALL MUSIC MAN AXIS EX / EVH SCHALLER 4+2 TUNER SET, NOS

I am offering an original new old stock 4+2 tuner set made in Germany by Schaller for Ernie Ball Music Man. These tuners were imported from Ernie Ball Music Man in the United States to Japan for Axis EX production during the 1990s. This set remained as unused leftover production stock.

Axis EX and Period Music Man Context

In my judgment, the Japanese Axis EX is more accurately understood as a Japanese-market version of the EVH model than simply as an Axis variant, particularly when the switch position and body-contour specification are taken into account.

To the best of my knowledge, the period Axis EX used exactly the same parts as the USA model except for the backplate, the two control panels, the six backplate screws, the eight screws for the two control panels, and the jack. This tuner set is one of the leftover original components from that production.

This same original 1990s Music Man 4+2 tuner design was shared among period Silhouette, Steve Morse, Albert Lee, EVH, and Luke models.

Condition and Function

This is an unused new old stock set. I checked all six tuners and confirmed that they operate properly.

I also compared the buttons with those on a current new tuner set and found no visible yellowing. Because these tuners have never been used, they have no notable post-manufacturing scratches or other damage. Minor traces originating from manufacture may be present.

The six original tuner mounting screws are missing and are not included. Please examine all photographs carefully for the exact cosmetic condition and everything included in the sale.

Compatibility

This set was originally supplied for Japanese Axis EX production and uses the period Music Man 4+2 configuration shared with the original 1990s Silhouette, Steve Morse, Albert Lee, EVH, and Luke models. For installation on another model or production period, please compare the photographs, 4+2 arrangement, tuner-post dimensions, and mounting-tab orientation with your instrument before purchasing.

Shipping

To the USA: I ship via Japan Post or eBay SpeedPAK with full tracking. For qualifying merchandise shipments under current U.S. postal-import rules, I prepay the applicable import duty through the required DDP procedure. In other words, the applicable tariff is already covered, so you should not receive an unexpected import-duty bill at delivery. eBay may still collect state sales tax at checkout, and separate carrier or customs-processing fees may apply in some cases.

To other countries: I ship from Japan with tracking. Import VAT, customs duties, customs-clearance fees, and compliance with local regulations are the buyer's responsibility unless collected at checkout.

Returns

I accept returns within 30 days. Return shipping for a change of mind or compatibility issue is the buyer's responsibility. Installation, disassembly, replacement of the buttons, drilling, filing, or other modification changes the condition of the tuners and may affect return eligibility or the refund amount under eBay rules. This does not limit the buyer's rights if the item is not as described.
