As far as can be found from Google and info obtained when this was purchased, item dates from between the 1920s and 1940s.

Wooden framed instrument, likely originally intended as a children's educational/recreational instrument.

Box (made of thick cardboard) has some discolouration, as does the wooden frame of the xylophone itself (though most of the original blue paint on wooden frame remains) - condition as pictured.
