This is a silver gelatin photograph that is unmounted and is approximately 10 x 8 inches (254x203mm).

It shows a giraffe bending its neck down to eat leaves from a small, bare-looking tree in a dry, scrubby landscape.

The reverse has handwritten pencil notes reading 'SURVIVAL', '"THE LONG, THE SHORT AND THE TALL"', 'ANG ONLY TX', 'MON, WK 35 (AUG 26TH) (SEPT 2ND)' with 'AUG 26TH' crossed out, and 'AT 6.30PM'. Additional notes include 'Animals -' in blue ink, 'ANGLIA TV' in pencil, and 'GIRAFFE.' circled in pencil. There is a faded rectangular stamp that reads 'PLEASE RETURN TO TV TIMES PICTURE LIBRARY'.
