LS120 SuperDisk Floppy Drive Minimal Adapter (Soldered)
These fully soldered adapters can be used to connect a Slimline LS120 SuperDisk Floppy drive (model LKM-FC33-5 and others) to a regular 40pin IDE cable and 4pin floppy power connector.
This adapter is NOT intended for permanent installation unless you work out a way to securely mount and install your LS-120 drive and adapter into your PC case: Possibly you can design a 3D-printed housing which mounts the drive in to your PC like a regular 3.5" floppy and secures the adapter in place, or alternately use hot glue or adhesive tape to secure the adapter in place.
The adapters have been hand soldered and tested and may show some signs of manual construction. If you prefer to build it yourself you can find the design files on the web.
NOTE: The JAE KX14-50K5D-RE Board-to-Board connectors have become hard to find. Concequently some of the adapters use the slim variant of the connector so insulating tape has been placed on the adapter to prevent electrically shorting the solder joints when they come into contact with the metal back of the LS-120 drive.
