This original antique Carte de Visite (CDV) albumen photograph features a seated gentleman with a goatee beard in a three-piece suit alongside a woman in a fringed Victorian jacket bodice and draped bustle skirt. Dated to circa 1875–1882 based on the woman's fringed cuirass bodice tailoring, the man's ankle boots, and the rounded-corner card mount with printed Peoria, Illinois photographer typography. Verso displays the printed studio imprint "THOMAS MILLS, PHOTOGRAPHIC ARTIST, Over the Philadelphia Store, Cor. Main & Adams Streets, PEORIA, ILL." with period handwritten pencil notation reading "Mrs Willicombe" at the top.
