These little baby shoes have been a highlight in our collection since their purchase in 1984 in Sevier, a small Utah pioneer town.
They are made of sturdy leather, with a structured sole and heel that are also made of leather.
They lace up with 5 intact metal eyelets on each side with either original or very old, wide, shoelaces that have long metal tips on them. Leather tongues, paper thin leather footbeds, and a striped cotton fabric lining.
Truly a wonderful example of old footwear that helped tame the West, worn by both boy and girl babies learning to walk.
A bit of scuffing at the toes, soles are scuffed but still retain some of the original oiled finish. At the back, just above the heel area is slightly worn also.
Photos show the great condition these little antique boots are in, and the scuffed places.
Soles measure 4-3/4" long by 1-7/8" at widest point, 3-1/8" tall at the back, with a 1/4" heel.
They are in need of oiling, and possibly black shoe polish if you desire, as they have the original finish from very long ago!
