Original U.S. military tropical combat jungle boots featuring the classic olive drab nylon upper with black leather toe, heel, and eyelet reinforcement. These boots have the Panama-pattern direct molded rubber soles with the circular Ro-Search marking and are molded 10R (Size 10 Regular).
Features include the two screened brass drainage vents on the inner side of each boot, reinforced nylon ankle bands, black leather lower construction, and removable cushion insoles.
The boots show substantial honest service wear, including scuffing and finish loss to the leather toes and heels, wear to the uppers, laces, and soles, and general age-related wear throughout. Please review all photos carefully for condition.
The construction and features are consistent with U.S. military Type III tropical combat boots of the Vietnam-era pattern. The Panama sole was introduced during the Vietnam War and Ro-Search was a U.S. military footwear contractor. No readable interior contract or manufacture-date markings have been located, so an exact production year cannot be confirmed.
A great original pair for a Vietnam War militaria collection, jungle boot collection, military footwear display, or period uniform display.
