Up for sale is a beautiful matching pair of large, vintage scalloped square vegetable/salad serving bowls made by the renowned English pottery, Johnson Brothers. This is the highly collectible "Old Britain Castles" blue and white transferware pattern, with both pieces featuring the historic "Blarney Castle in 1792" central scene surrounded by a rich, intricate floral border.
They are early production pieces (c. 1930s–1950s).
These deep serving dishes are perfect for adding traditional country farmhouse charm to your dinner table or kitchen display dresser.
Condition Note:
Both bowls are in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or restorations. The underglaze blue transfers remain deep, crisp, and vibrant with a lovely glossy finish.
