Iron On Hemming Tape – 25mm Polyester
Create or secure compatible garment hems using this iron-on hemming tape. Made from polyester and measuring approximately 2.5 cm / 25 mm wide, the hemming web is activated using heat from an iron. It is designed for trouser hems and other compatible fabric applications where a sewn hem is not required.
How to Use
- Prepare the garment and determine the required hem position.
- Lightly dampen as directed in the supplied instructions.
- Position the hemming tape inside the folded hem.
- Ensure the tape is correctly positioned between the fabric layers.
- Using a steam iron at the supplied recommended temperature of 130°C–160°C, press the area for approximately 15 seconds.
- Press section by section rather than continuously sliding the iron.
- Allow the bonded area to cool before handling.
Important Fabric Check
Always check the garment's care label before ironing.
Do not use an iron temperature that exceeds what the garment fabric can safely tolerate.
Test on a small, inconspicuous section first where possible, particularly with delicate, synthetic, coated or heat-sensitive fabrics.
