Description:
A particularly large antique expanding wooden coat and hat rack, dating from the late Victorian or Edwardian period, circa 1890–1910.
Made from attractively turned wood with seven substantial hanging pegs, each finished with a white-painted tip. The scissor or accordion construction allows the rack to expand and contract according to the available wall space.
Original metal wall-mounting fittings remain attached to the reverse, together with old slotted screws.
