The Cerwin-Vega CV-3000 HED (High Energy Design) loudspeakers are vintage 3-way floorstanding speakers originally manufactured in the late 1970s and 1980s. True to the classic Cerwin-Vega philosophy, they are designed for high efficiency, high power handling, and authoritative, punchy bass response.

• System Design: 3-way acoustic suspension/rear-ported design.
• Woofer: 12-inch cast aluminum frame woofer utilizing a traditional foam surround.
• Midrange: 5-inch cone midrange driver.
• Tweeter: 1-inch voice coil horn tweeter, providing high-output highs.
• Crossover Points: Set at 700 Hz and 4000 Hz for precise frequency steering.
• Sensitivity: 96 dB (1W/1m), incredibly efficient and can produce high SPL w/minimal power.
• Impedance: 8 Ohms nominal, an, easy load for most vintage and modern amplifiers.
• Power Handling: Rated to comfortably handle continuous peaks around 250 Watts.

Condition:

The 12" Woofers were professionally Re-Foamed with the correct, and classic Red CV Foam Surrounds.  One midrange driver had a small tear in the paper cone that was repaired.  The Tweeter/Horns are functioning to spec.  The Crossovers were serviced.  The Cabinets were cleaned and are in excellent condition for their age.  The Grilles are in very good condition, no distinct tears or pulls in cloth, and New Badges/Emblems were installed.  When the restoration was complete they were functionally tested with both music, and Frequency Test sweeps from 20Hz - 20KHz, no distortion or acoustic anomalies detected.  Cosmetically they are in very good condition, some small scratches, blemishes are detectable on close inspection as expected for their age.  Please view the photos in listing for condition.
