This is a set of two vintage Hazel-Atlas Platonite ribbed cottage containers, one with the original vintage metal lid made for the Northland Milk and Ice Cream Company.  The containers are in pristine condition and made of Platonite, which was introduce in 1936 and looks like milk glass, but is stronger.  The containers make excellent pots for plants.  The containers are in excellent condition with no chips, stains, cracks, grime, dirt, etc. Even the tin itself is a collectible, old advertising item for Northland Milk and Ice Cream which went out of business in Minneapolis many years ago.

Of course, at one time they contained cottage cheese, but these days they make very unique planters.  They have a distinct ribbed, and are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, grime, dirt, etc.  On the bottom is the hallmark H which stands for Hazel Atlas.
