Archie

Archie, the Scottish Terrier with his fitting tartan bandana, is a OOAK
(one of a kind), realistic, unique and original, 100% handmade, 

miniature sculpture by Michal Gvir.

A bit about creating 'Archie':

I sculpted Archie from Fimo polymer clay over a wire armature.  

After curing the clay in the oven, I painted the sculpture with acrylic paints.

For his fur coat I used natural fibers of wool, which I applied on layer by layer according to hair growth direction.

After applying his fur, I gave it some shadings with black acrylics.

I made Archie's tiny eyes by hand.

His pawprints were painted on carefully with acrylics and sealed with matt varnish.

Archie's measurements are:

Height: 3.5 cm (1.377 Inch) to the tip of the ears.

Length: 5.1 cm (2.007 Inch) from nose to tail.

Archie is a very delicate piece of art for display purposes only, he is not a toy!  

he should not come in contact with liquids, and should not be rubbed!  

 

Because my sculptures are handmade no two sculptures will ever look exactly alike, each one is unique!  

In my sculptures I'm paying attention to details, to make them as realistic as I can.
