Up for auction is this nice vintage ladies compact. It was manufactured by 'Mayfair' with a metal case made by the Evans Company of Attleboro, Mass, USA.  The face of the compact shows a raised portrait of George Washington in a satin finish metal with a green enamel border.  The overall construction is a silver metal with an engine turned back design.  It comes in excellent condition and the contents are all intact. A few small discoloration spots on the round cloth pads.  One of the compartments contains 'rouge' and the other compartment is empty but has an opening that may be used for smelling salts ?.  I believe it dates from around the 1950's era.  It measures 2-1/4" in dia. x 1/2" thick.  There is a keychain like ring and chain attached at the top.  Buyer pays only actual shipping costs with no additional charges and no handling fees.  Shipping within the United States will be $9.00 using the USPS mailing service.  I will ship worldwide but that would be additional shipping.
