The Keeley White Sands Luxe Drive is an ultra-light, transparent low-gain overdrive pedal engineered by Keeley Electronics. It is designed to capture the natural, subtle breakup of a tube amplifier pushing into overdrive without masking your instrument's native tone or muddying the low end.
Core Design & Sound Profile
- Asymmetrical Clipping: The pedal distorts half of the guitar signal more than the other half. This technique accurately simulates the rich harmonic clipping characteristics of a real tube amp.
- No Midrange Hump: Unlike a traditional Tube Screamer, it utilizes a custom tone control network that does not boost mid-frequencies. This keeps your instrument's tone highly transparent and well-balanced.
- High-End Input Buffer: Features a JFET input buffer (similar to the Keeley Red Dirt). It preserves your pickup's natural nuances and prevents signal loading when the effect is engaged.
