For sale is a 1988 Rolex Submariner Champagne Serti Dial 18k yellow gold R serial 16618 40mm. The Good: 1. Beautiful condition piece; case and bracelet are both excellent. The crown on the buckle is always a tell about how much wear these 16618's have and this has high relief and is excellent. 2. First year of the 16618's introduction (1988) which adds to the collectability. 3. Working and functioning correctly, +334 amplitude and -2 seconds per day. 4. Case is crisp and gorgeous, matched by the beautiful blue hue of the bezel and richness of the Champagne dial. The Bad: 1. Watch only. 2. Will fit up to a 7" wrist. 3. Spring bars are steel and not gold. 4. Lume Pearl has a hairline.
