The SHIMANO 16 Vanquish C2500HGS is a high-end spinning reel released by Shimano in 2016. It is part of the Vanquish series, which is known for its ultra-lightweight design and high sensitivity. This specific model is especially well-suited for light game fishing such as ajing (horse mackerel), mebaru (rockfish), trout, and finesse bass fishing.
Lightweight Magnumlite Rotor The rotor is designed to be lightweight, which allows for extremely smooth and effortless rotation. Ideal for delicate lure control and high responsiveness.
HGS (High Gear System) The high-speed gear ratio enables quick line retrieval, making it perfect for fast-paced fishing styles.
HAGANE Gear and Body Built using Shimano’s cold-forged HAGANE technology, it offers exceptional strength, durability, and precision in gear performance.
CoreProtect A sealing system that improves water resistance, protecting internal components from water intrusion and prolonging reel life.
AR-C Spool Reduces line trouble and enhances casting distance thanks to its specially designed spool lip.
Although the 16 Vanquish is an older model compared to newer versions like the 19 or 23 Vanquish, it still holds high value among anglers for its lightness, smooth rotation, and sensitivity. The C2500HGS model is considered a well-balanced and versatile choice for various light fishing situations. It remains popular in the second-hand market due to its performance and durability.
