Up for auction is this nice medium size antique porcelain meat strainer / platter.  The oval shaped strainer dates from the mid 19th century, c1840-1860 era.  It shows no  manufacturers mark or name but most certainly manufactured in Staffordshire, England. The blue and white transfer design shows a beautiful oriental / Asian floral pattern with vase and planter sat on oriental decorative stands.  The pattern name 'Floweret' is printed in blue on the underside.  Also impressed on the underside are the numbers 16 + 5.  It measures 12" x 8-5/8" x 1/2" tall.   There are 6 raised button feet on the underside.
