Not, of course, allowed on the uniform, but worn on all manner of off-duty civilian caps and clothing as novelty items.

Marine Forces Pacific – or MARFORPAC – is the largest field command in the USMC. It commands two-thirds of the Marine Corps’ combat power, and is a force provider to both Pacific Command and Central Command, as well as US Forces, Korea!
The command was established in 1944 as Headquarters, Fleet Marine Forces Pacific by General Holland M. “Howlin’ Mad” Smith! At the time, FMF-PAC included six Marine Divisions and five Marine Air Wings, with the number of troops approaching a half-million! As FMF-PAC, they answered to the US Navy’s Pacific Fleet. But since 1992, the command has been designated a Service Component Headquarters, and as “Marine Forces Pacific” they answer directly to the joint geographic commands.
Currently located at Camp H. M. Smith in Hawaii, MARFORPAC is responsible for over 80,000 Marines and Sailors. The headquarters has two major subordinate commands, I MEF at Camp Pendleton, and III MEF on Okinawa. MARFORPAC also has responsibility for all bases and stations in Western US and Pacific – from Arizona to Japan! (Note the geographic region on the patch depicting this area of responsibility.) Motto on patch: Forward… From the Sea!
This is a BRAND NEW and UNUSED patch. It is NOT a war relic but a recent manufacture item! Embroidered on OD twill with merrowed edge and a plastic heat-sealed backing (as shown in 2nd photo.) Colors are clean and bright. See ruler in photo for size comparison.
