It shows three contestants in the 'Miss Yorkshire Television 1977' beauty contest posing on a stage in white one-piece swimsuits and high-heeled sandals. From left to right are Denise Pallister (wearing contestant number 2), Beverley Hodgson (number 12), and Yvonne Hardcastle (number 8). A typed caption on the reverse identifies the women and provides details about the event, which was scheduled for broadcast on Saturday, 13th August 1977. It states they were representing the North Humberside and North Yorkshire areas in the Grand Final of the contest, held in Skegness. Denise Pallister is described as a 20-year-old photographic model from Hull; Beverley Hodgson, 21, a nurse and part-time model, also from Hull; and Yvonne Hardcastle, 20, a dental nurse from Osgodby, Scarborough. The programme was introduced by presenter Bob Warman of the news magazine 'Calendar'. The winner was to receive a cash prize of £300, a car, and a guaranteed place in the Grand Final of the 'Miss Great Britain' contest. The caption is credited to Yorkshire Television Picture.
