Western Electric AT&T 2554BMP
Vintage Wall Mount Push Button Telephone
Beige / Almond Finish

The Western Electric 2554 is the definitive wall-mounted telephone of the late 20th century. Originally produced for the Bell System, these rugged instruments were designed for decades of service in American kitchens and hallways. This specific unit features transition-era branding, with the Western Electric manufacturer stamp on the heavy-duty metal backplate and the AT&T logo on the front faceplate, characteristic of the post-divestiture period of the mid-1980s.

• Classic push-button (Touch-Tone) keypad with standard 12-button layout
• Durable metal mounting plate stamped with model 2554BMP and Bell System property markings
• Integrated handset cradle with mechanical hook switch and modular internal connector
• Includes original coiled handset cord

Condition: The plastic housing shows moderate surface scuffing, scratches, and general age-related discoloration. The handset has visible adhesive residue and some deeper scuffs on the ear and mouth pieces. The metal backplate exhibits oxidation and surface wear. All buttons depress and spring back normally. The coiled cord is intact but shows some permanent stretching and dirt buildup. Sold as-is; functionality has not been tested.
