The Axial SCX24 Jeep Wrangler JLU is one of the most popular micro RC rock crawlers, combining realistic Jeep styling with proven SCX24 trail performance in a compact 1/24 scale platform. Finished in green, the AXI00002V3T4 features a detailed Jeep Wrangler JLU polycarbonate body, full-time 4WD, worm-gear axles, oil-filled shocks and licensed KMC wheels with Nitto Trail Grappler M/T tyres.
Designed for both indoor and outdoor crawling, the SCX24 is small enough for desktop obstacle courses yet capable enough for rocks, dirt and backyard trails. Is the Axial SCX24 Jeep Wrangler JLU fully Ready-to-Run? Yes. The vehicle is supplied fully assembled with the transmitter, 350mAh LiPo battery, USB charger and four AA transmitter batteries. You only need a suitable USB power adapter for the charger.
Can it be driven indoors? Yes. Its compact 1/24 scale makes the SCX24 ideal for desks, tabletops, indoor obstacle courses and other small crawling areas. It is equally at home on appropriately scaled outdoor rocks, dirt and trail obstacles.
What is different about this V3 version? This updated version adds oil-filled shocks, Spektrum electronics and revised body colour options while retaining the core SCX24 drivetrain and chassis layout. Axial highlights the oil-filled shocks as a major improvement for smoother suspension control.
Why are worm gears uséd in the axles? The front and rear axles use metal worm gears to help increase ground clearance and provide strong resistance to unwanted wheel movement on steep climbs or descents.
Are the wheels and tyres licensed? Yes. The SCX24 Jeep JLU uses licensed KMC Machete wheels and Nitto Trail Grappler M/T tyres for a more authentic scale appearance.
Does it have working lights? Yes. Two LED lights are integrated into the front bumper to illuminate the trail during low-light crawling.
What battery does it use? The included battery is a Spektrum 350mAh 2S LiPo pack using a PH 2.0 high-current ultra-micro connector.
Are the oil-filled shocks worth having? They provide real damping rather than allowing the suspension to rebound freely, which can improve stability and smoothness on technical terrain. SCX24 owners generally report that well-set-up oil shocks can improve control, although spring rate, oil weight and ride height all affect the final result.
