original antique 1976 lyle tuttle honest charlie potter TX tattoo letter card

super rare rare letter handwritten from LT to HCP.   he actually gives charlie hell about some jewelry charlie started to sell. not many survived after giving charlie any $hit.  haha.  postmarked 1976.

Beginning to tattoo in the mid 1960s, Honest Charlie Potter began to tattoo "bikers and outlaws" in various clubhouses around San Antonio. In 1969, Charlie opened his world famous and renowned shop on "Snake Hill", located at the entrance of San Antonio's Fort Sam Houston army base, tattooing 1000s of soldiers over a 40 year period. To begin to try capture the magic, memories and essence of the Snake Hill shop is impossible but having a live circus bear as a shop mascot, inside the shop, begins to capture that essence.  that was just the beginning.
