Elegant doesn’t even begin to describe this beautiful doll. She was created by artist Mary Lee Sundstrom. She is number 58 of 200 and her birthdate is May 27, 1999. Her gorgeous, Dickinson themed outfit was created by seamstress Sandy Reinke. Every layer of this doll’s clothes has beautiful details added. She is wearing her undergarment, which, of course is embroidered with her name. It closes at her neck with the daintiest hook and eye. Next comes her under skirt with ruffles around the bottom which buttons at her waist. Her beautiful pale blue dress has flower ribbons around the bottom edge as well as two rows of silk ribbon. The bodice has dainty cream lace. Her outer cloak is nothing short of amazing. The bright blue fabric is trimmed in a thin black braid. Her pocket flaps even have embroidered ribbon roses on them. In her hand, she carries a little white muff. Her hat is adorned with more ribbon roses and a white fluffy plume of feather. The hat is held onto her head with some tacky putty, like you would use to hold up a poster. It can be removed. Hitty herself is another lovely piece of work by artist Mary Lee Sundstrom. She is signed and numbered on her lower back. Please see photos for more information on this beautiful Hitty who is looking for her next adventure due to mom downsizing.
