The Nameless War is the postwar memoir and political commentary of Captain Archibald Henry Maule Ramsay (1894–1955), a British Member of Parliament best known for his outspoken nationalist views and his controversial opposition to Britain's participation in the Second World War. Captain Archibald Henry Maule Ramsay (1894–1955) served as a Conservative Member of Parliament for Peebles and Southern Midlothian from 1931 to 1945. During the Second World War he was interned without trial under Defence Regulation 18B because of concerns over his political activities and associations. Following the war, he published The Nameless War as his account of those events and his political beliefs.
