Diamond weighs 0.79 carats and set with 8 claws. Antique early 20th century frame, certainly reassembled later with diamond.

About fancy diamonds: Colored diamonds were brought to light beginning in the 1980s when the Argyle mine in Australia was discovered in 1983.
